Need a way to contribute Actions to menu bars and toolbars. Currently in Eclipse, one needs to specify a view or editor ID for Eclipse to "know" when actions need to be hidden/displayed. Since all editors that are built on top of Hyades editor framework (via EditorExtension) sit on top of the part with same ID, it is impossible for menus contibuted by RPT test editor NOT to appear when Datapool (on so on) editor is active.
Moving to 4.0 because 3.3 is closed for everything except stop-ship defects.
Bulk deferral of all defects except for the following: 1. blocker 2. critical 3. major 4. README 5. web documentation I didn't read each defect individually, so if I've mistakenly deferred your bugzilla when I shouldn't have, then please change the target back to 4.0 i4.
Set target to 4.2 since cannot put anything into 4.1 anymore. Reassigned to current Test.UI.FrameworksEditor component owner. Please update the bugzilla if this is no longer needed or needed by a certain time. There is currently no UI resources to fix this.
Reassign to Jerome for tptp 4.2. in accordance with discussion in Test project meeting 12/12/2005.
There is currently no UI resources to fix this defect according to the 4.2 schedule.
As discussed with Alex, a fix for this defect may be: 1- to create a new extension point similar to the one existing in eclipse but using the id of the editor extension rather than the id of the editor part, 2- OR to make the HyadesEditorPart dynamic, in other words to allow contributors to set a specific id. This changes require modifications of the API and will be done when all test editors migrate to eclipse forms editors (see bug #74949).
As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. Since this defect is more than 2 years old, it may be no longer relevant. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this defect is resolved as WONTFIX. If this defect is still relevant and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
