We have Open type.  Can we add open package, project, and maybe even source 
folder to the list.  These were in VA-Java and MicroEdition, let's get them in 
Eclipse already.

Is Goto Type and Package what you are looking for ?

No, I'm not looking for Goto.  I am trying to open a hierarchy perspective 
(similar to Ctrl+Shift+H), but I would like to type in a package or project, 
instead of a type.  The Hierarchy Viewer support various types of roots, but 
it's hard to open some of them unless they are already visible in another 
window.

Chaning state from assigned later to resolved later. Assigned later got 
introduced by the last bug conversion and is not a supported Eclipse bug state.

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
