3.1RC2

- open the Intro page
- double-click its tab to reduce it to a view
- use the mouse to get focus into the view
- shift-Tab enough times to move focus out of the view (at one point focus will
seem to have disappeared, when this happens Shift-Tab again to get it out for
real)
- now try to Tab back into the view but focus never goes back in
Comment 1 Grant Gayed CLA 2005-06-13 09:48:36 EDT
To show this with the Help view:
- show the Help view
- click its first link (Java Editor Concepts)
- use the mouse to give focus to the resulting page's first link (Java
Development Tools)
- Shift-Tab out of the Browser view
- try to tab back in and focus will jump over it down to the "Go To" section

+1 (assuming you know what you are doing - I am not sure I understand the fix
but it seems simple enough :-).

This is half fixed. In, 20050616-1600 build, focus appears in the browser
when I use Tab, but it does not when traversing backward, using Shift-Tab.
When foucus is inside a browser, it moves OK when Shift-Tab is used, it just
cannot enter from the bottom of the page.
Comment 9 Dejan Glozic CLA 2005-06-16 18:03:24 EDT
Konrad, are you saying that browser does not get the focus AT ALL, or that it
does but the it moves the focus to the first link in the browser even though
you are navigating backwards (Shift-Tab)?

I had the same problem in FormText - when I receive focus, I cannot ask
questions about the focus originator (mouse click, Tab, Shift-Tab,
programmatic etc.). Therefore, FormText has a similar problem whereby when you
enter it using Shift-Tab, it selects the first, not the last focusable segment
in text.
Comment 10 Konrad Kolosowski CLA 2005-06-16 19:01:02 EDT
Very possible. I did not see the focus at all, but it could have been on some
non obvious focusable element (like the whole page).

If what I saw is a different issue then this bug described, feel free to close
the bug, and open a separate one.
