Description
Jeffrey Liu
Public APIs were requested against the Eclipse platform. See bug 31837 for details: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=31837 Please defer this to M8 Deferred to WTP 1.0 M8. Retargetting to M9. *** Bug 113147 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Deferred to WTP 1.5. Comments in bug 31837 suggest no fix will be had in time for WTP 1.0. changing target from 1.5 M1 to 1.5 M5 to reflect new numbering system as we join Collisto. I'm clearing the target milestone on this animal. Whenever bug 31837 is fixed, we'll set the target on this bug. If no progress is made on 31837, guess we need to supply our own app server! Spelling correction in Summary. Let's count all internal usage as "major" since it prevents the function of "easy safe binary compatible updates". (or, at least, reduces the probablity). I'm closing this as "won't fix". I don't know the status of the new work, but believe in principle we _can_ use the new help server without internal APIs. Kathy, please open new "internal use" bugs if that's not the case, against the new framework. This defect has been in RESOLVE state for some time. Please verify it with the latest driver. WTP 2.0.1 RC1 is available at: http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/drops/R2.0/M-2.0.1RC1-20070907070540/ This defect is no longer necessary because of the migration of the WSE to Jetty (bug 192785). Closing. |
