In the "team synchronize perspective", open compare editor on a java file.
Edit the file previously opened, then save it, you will notice that the icons
from the perspective switcher are being greyed, and then comes back with colors.

This time I have a UI team member as an eye witness: Kim :)

It's true, I've seen it. I also thought I detected a flash in the tab of the editor but I can't vouch for that one
absolutely. If it was there, it was subtle.
Comment 2 Billy Biggs CLA 2005-05-19 17:06:55 EDT
I see this a lot actually, I thought there was a bug about it already though.
Comment 3 Michael Van Meekeren CLA 2005-05-19 17:20:11 EDT
assigning to stefan, any chance this is related to recent optimizations?
Comment 4 Stefan Xenos CLA 2005-05-19 23:03:44 EDT
The perspective switching optimizations I worked on related to removing
redundant part activation and more efficient action set computations: neither
would cause the perspective switcher to flash.
Comment 5 Udo Walker CLA 2015-09-24 00:18:49 EDT
Is this fixed?
Comment 6 Stefan Xenos CLA 2015-09-24 10:51:16 EDT
I haven't seen it in years. I suspect it's probably been fixed as a side-effect of the E4 UI work.

Let's close it for now and reopen it if it recurs.
