When a project is using a lot of JARs (mine has 45), having them all listed in
the Package Explorer seems to make the view cluttered. I'd prefer them to be
organized in a JARs directory or something like that. So, project contents would
go from this...

MyProject
- src
- JRE
- J2EE
- commons-lang.jar
- commons-logging.jar
- ...
- xmlParserAPIs.jar
- build.properties
- build.xml
- ...

to this...

MyProject
- src
- JARs
  - JRE
  - J2EE
  - commons-lang.jar
  - commons-logging.jar
  - ...
  - xmlParserAPIs.jar
- build.properties
- build.xml
- ...

Obviously, this directory would be minimized and would allow a developer to see
the contents below the JARs instead of having to scroll down forever to get past
them. I find this very annoying considering I have several directories that are
listed below the JARs. Perhaps I am missing the advantage of having them even
listed, but I don't think I've ever actually looked at them - only scrolled past
them at least 10 or 20 times a day.

See comments in bug 83389 for a workaround.
