Description Thomas Hallgren CLA 2005-05-14 17:42:01 EDT
The sorting of members forces a split of methods into a static and a non-static
group. The very common case of grouping all public methods together regardless
of if they are static or not, is not possible. A more flexible scheme is needed
where member visibility can be given a higher sort order than static.
Comment 1 Dani Megert CLA 2005-05-17 07:00:30 EDT
JDT Text uses JDT UI's Appearance > Members Sort Order preference.
Comment 2 Thomas Hallgren CLA 2005-09-14 19:07:07 EDT
That is what I mean. There's no way to give visibility higher priority then
category. I'd like to say "Sort members with the same visibility by category"
rather than the other way around. I don't want a static private method above a
public non-static one.

Comment 3 Martin Aeschlimann CLA 2006-06-16 16:22:52 EDT
No plans on extending the sort members functionalty. We would prefer to keep it simple and are interested in contributions.
Comment 4 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2009-08-30 02:38:42 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
