This problem happens on Fedora Core 3, RH WS 4 (possibily any system using IIIMF).

IIIMF, the new input method technology for Linux, provides a new Input Method
switcher, this switcher uses Ctrl+Space to activate/deactivate the input method.

I had to shut down IIIMF in order to have code assistent working for me again. I
guess I also could changed the code assistent shortcut to something else.
