If you use PDE Build to build your plug-ins, you can do almost everything needed to get your features 
and plug-ins available via an update site.  You get all the way to building an update JAR.  However, you 
still need to hand-craft a site.xml to make your update site complete.

I talked to Sonia during EclipseCon and she indicated that the site.xml generation code has already 
been built but is not yet publicly available.  Can we make it available so that we can create an entire 
update site automatically using PDE Build?

Mass change for PDE Build bugs tagged with "helpwanted". PDE build is not actively enhanced, hence I close these bugs as wontfix. Please reopen if you want to contribute a patch.
