current implementation is slow when you have a lot of files.
it would allow for fast refactoring, find reference, find usage ...

Lucene engine is allready included in the help system

not for 3.1

Note that 'refactoring, find reference, find usage' use the Java search index.
I'm not sure that a Lucene based implementation is faster there.
For text searches you surely right. We currently don't have a text search index,
but always search on-the-fly.
