Description Ed Burnette CLA 2005-03-11 10:54:04 EST
Developerworks provides a way to rate and comment on articles that I'd like to
see on the Eclipse Corner site. For example see:

http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/library/notes-eclipse/index.html

I suggest asking the developerworks people about what they do with the info;
maybe some scripts and techniques could be shared.

This functionality should be included with Project Phoenix.

Phoenix will not be handling this functionality. however, the Articles section
of eclipse.org has PHP functionality. A few simple PHP scripts could easily add
the functionality you're looking for.

How about if I want to request that the webmaster write that php and database
support?

I guess this will be hanging around in Bugzilla with the keyword "helpwanted" ;)

Isn't there any PHP script that does this job? I could be integrated when moving
the articles to Phoenix.

Doesn't matter to me, but it could take a while for it to show up on my radar,
unless we get lots of votes/support for the added functionality.

Feel free to reopen if that's what you want.

Ok, done.
Comment 7 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2005-11-01 07:20:28 EST
My apologies, this is part of Phoenix. It's a proposed item, however, and will
not be included in our "1.0" release:

http://eclipse.org/phoenix/plan/

Moving this bug to Phoenix.
Comment 8 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2006-01-31 13:42:01 EST
I think this could be useful for much more than just articles. If users could easily add this functionality to any page on Phoenix, that would be neat.

Targeting for Phoenix 1.1 - I'll help you with infrastructure.

There doesn't appear to be enough interest within the Phoenix team to get this done anytime soon. Currently accepting patches/code donations.

Moving to Community/Website
Comment 11 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2009-08-30 02:50:56 EDT
LATER/REMIND bugs are being automatically reopened as P5 because the LATER and REMIND resolutions are deprecated.
Comment 12 Denis Roy CLA 2015-07-16 16:41:18 EDT
I am pretty sure we don't have articles anymore.
