Description Mike Cunneen CLA 2005-03-09 07:25:44 EST
In WTP M3:

The JSP custom taglib content-assist won't work unless the project is
located within the main eclipse workspace.

To reproduce this, create a new
J2EE Web project in the workspace, close it, delete it (but don't delete
contents), move the project folder out of the workspace and import it. Now
JSP custom taglib content assist won't work. If you repeat these steps to
move the project folder back into the workspace, it works again.

Changed Version field given new release numbering.
Comment 2 Klaus Kierer CLA 2005-06-20 05:52:58 EDT
The custom taglib content-assist does not work with linked folders as well.

I created a linked folder for WebContent and the content-assist, which worked
before, does not work anymore. I tried it with Eclipse 3.1RC2 and WTP I20050617.
Comment 3 Mike Cunneen CLA 2005-08-01 07:16:59 EDT
This problem still exists in build I20050627-1435 with WTP 0.7 (from the wtp-
all-in-one-0.7-win32.zip) .

Does restarting Eclipse help at all?
Comment 5 Klaus Kierer CLA 2005-08-02 13:26:04 EDT
no, unfortunately not with the environment i have tested (Eclipse 3.1RC2 and WTP
I20050617), but maybe i have the time to test it with Eclipse 3.1 and WTP 0.7
tomorrow.
Comment 6 Mike Cunneen CLA 2005-08-02 20:18:34 EDT
No, restarting eclipse doesn't help with my version I20050627-1435 with WTP
0.7 , windows xp, sun jdk 1.5.0.02
Comment 7 Derek Clarkson CLA 2005-09-05 23:38:22 EDT
Hi, I've never been able to get custom tag support operational in 3.1. I use the
technique of not installing tlds in the WEB-INF directory of a project abd using
the full URIs of the TLDs so that they can be found in the jars. I have not once
had Eclipse recognise or perform any sort of assist for these tags.

Don't know if this is exactly relevant to this bug, but thoughts I might add the
comment anyway ;-)
