Description William Kral CLA 2005-03-09 02:32:00 EST
There should be an ability to select a file or multiple files and resources in
the Navigator and other views which inherit from it for printing. By either
highlighting several resources and clicking the print button from the
toolbar/menubar or right clicking on a highlighted selection. If a folder or
package is selected and the print button is clicked all the resources under that
folder should be printed. The print dialog should indicate that multiple
resources are being printed to give the user a chance to correct a mistake in
the event of a miss click before all the files are sent to the printer.

A view similar to the file system import dialog where folders and sub folders
are shown and individual resources can be selected or excluded would be helpful
in this situation. When the resources are printed in a batch mode they should
use the print formatting from their associated editor. File types which can not
be printed because their editor does not support printing should be excluded
from these options.

In situations where there are many files which need to be printed it is very
tedious to open each individual file in an editor and then click the print
button and then ok the print options. When several files need to be printed it
is easy to make a mistake and miss one file while going down the list or to
print some files twice.

It's a good idea, but we can't commit to this for 3.1.
Comment 2 William Kral CLA 2005-09-14 23:54:05 EDT
Any possibliity of a commitment for 3.2?
Comment 3 Nick Edgar CLA 2005-09-15 08:41:07 EDT
Sorry, this is unlikely to make it for 3.2 either.
A patch would help immensely, if you'd like to contribute.
