Description Mike Traum CLA 2005-02-04 23:36:03 EST
On WTP 1.0 M2, if I open a good sized xml file without many tags, editing is
normal. But, If there are a fair number of tags, I type and characters appear at
the rate of about 1 per 2 seconds - extremely slow.

An example of such a file can be found at:

Strangely enough, even if I open it up with the 'Text Editor' (from the context
menu-> Open With), I get the same results. If I rename the file to something
besides .xml and open it up with the text editor, performance is normal.

Given your description, this sounds exactly like bug 81947, which
was fixed after M2 came out. Don't hesitate to re-open if you
find on a more recent build the same problem (either a temporary test
using an I-build, or the next milestone). Thanks for the report, and
sorry for the inconvenience.

Marking as verified as I know this issue is fixed (or correctly categorized).
If, as originator, you disagree or still see, please re-open, or open a new bug.

Thanks very much for reporting and helping make WTP better.
