I have seen a number of third party plug-ins that take trivially different
approaches to adding/removing a nature, resulting in a clutter of
Add/Toggle/Remove/... xxx nature menu entries.

Suggestion: let there be a standard Add/Remove Nature project menu entry with a
checkbox sub-menu automatically populated from the
org.eclipse.core.resources.natures extension point (which may need to be
strengthened to support this automation).

It may also be possible to provide a helper routine to simplify the standard
maintenance of the .project file.
