In the JDT, there is different cursor for overwrite mode vs smart insert. The
SEE editor doesn't have this visual hit. Pressing the insert button changes the
mode, but the cursor stays that same. It should change just like the JDT. 

I was able to repeat this in the JSP mode and in the web.xml mode.

This seems to work with 2.0.1 and 3.0M2.   Toggling between insert modes, changed the cursor from a standard vertical bar to a solid block in the XML editor.
