Description Nikolay Metchev CLA 2004-12-21 11:42:20 EST
At the moment when importing multiple existing projects the search for .project
files (I assume) seems to go through all the subdirectories of the root folder
specified. This takes a long time if there are a lot directories. As an
optimization could it not be improved that once a .project file is found none of
the sub-folders where that .project files is, are traversed?

Given that a project may contain other projects and that you may have laid out
your projects out of workspace in a hierarchy of directories, the import panel
should allow you to specify the .project search depth.

It should contain :
1- a text box where you can specify the depth (default 1)
2- a check box (like Recurse all subdirectories) that when checked disable the
text box.

This will allow you, starting from the root or any leaf of the projects tree, to
choose the set of project directories you want to be scanned.
