Suppress EMF types in the generated code by turning on the ‘Model Feature 
Defaults > Suppress EMF Types’ generator option.

A decision has been made NOT to supress EMF types since this options does not completely hide EMF types other than EObject and EList, and since use of the resulting API would be unnecessarily complicated (because the client would have to cast to EObject and EList).
