PDE manages a model of the target Eclipse for which you are developing. These 
targets may be complex and diverse and switching targets or launch 
configurations can be expensive. PDE will be extended to support named targets 
as well as pregenerating or caching of runtime data (e.g., manifest.mf files) 
needed when launching targets. [PDE]
