Reassigning bugs in component areas that are changing ownership. Created attachment 112717 [details]
One line fix, adds close icons to all views when unselected
This patch is a one line change to WorkbenchPresentationFactory.java line 118:
folder.setUnselectedCloseVisible(true);
where it was previously false.
This changes all views to have close buttons when unselected (just like editors do). This makes a significant (in my opinion) change to the visual presentation of views. Maybe there should be a preference to enable this? (Yet another preference...)
Anyways, this patch solved the bug for me.

Hey, just noticed this was still here.. Is this something that might actually be fixed? or should this be closed? (In reply to comment #3) > Hey, just noticed this was still here.. > > Is this something that might actually be fixed? or should this be closed? Sorry for not responding earlier. We won't be adding close buttons (in the 3.x stream), but there is a way to close view tabs: click on them with the middle mouse button. This is similar to what browsers with tabs (e.g. Firefox) do. I hope this will work for you. This is fine with me, I don't use the functionality of the patch. Was just hoping this bug would be resolved. |
