Description Min Idzelis CLA 2004-11-16 08:31:33 EST
This is from the new eclipse user point of view.

If you create a new java project, at the end of the wizard it asks you "Do you
want to switch to the Java Perspective?" The new user has no idea what a
perspective is. Some explaination or help that would pop up at this time would
really help this new user.

This is an interesting case to consider with the user assistance work.
At a minimum, we could improve the wording. A link to the relevant help
topic(s) wouldn't hurt either.

yes. Adding Dejan.

+1 for even minor wording improvements. I've always wanted to improve this
experience with a better description and possibly an image forshadowing what the
perspective will look like and what it can do for you. I.e. why would I want to
do this?

deferring to 3.2 we have more places we need to consider for this scenario
Comment 5 Michael Van Meekeren CLA 2006-02-10 18:16:12 EST
If a description were provided with a perspective we could display it here. Maybe we can look into this for 3.2

marking as fixed logging new bugs to track work in other components.
