Bug 78209

Summary: [IDE] Project menu ignores selection when another view has focus
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Patrick Dubroy <Patrick_Dubroy>
Component: IDEAssignee: Platform UI Triaged <platform-ui-triaged>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P5 Keywords: helpwanted
Version: 3.0.1
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Patrick Dubroy CLA 2004-11-09 14:46:19 EST
Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a project in the navigator view.
2. Click on an open editor to bring focus to that editor. Project is still
selected in Navigator view, even though the view is does not have focus.
3. Open "Project" menu.

Result:
- "Close Project" is greyed out, as if no project is selected
- "Clean..." dialog says "<No project selected>"
Expected result:
- Should be the same as if the Navigator view had focus

I believe this is the same problem as in bug 67809.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
