Bug 7788

Summary: Task List can not be edited when only keyboard is used
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Duong Nguyen <duongn>
Component: UIAssignee: Tod Creasey <Tod_Creasey>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P2 Keywords: accessibility
Version: 1.0
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 2000
Whiteboard:

Description Duong Nguyen CLA 2002-01-16 12:45:43 EST
To reproduce:
1 Open WSWB
2 Create two new Tasks in the Task List
3 Place the focus on the first task
4 Try to use the keyboard to modify either tasks.
5 No keyboard command will allow you to initiate edit mode.

Result: Task Description can not be edited

Expected Behaviour: Edit mode to edit a task description can be invoked using
some keyboard commands. In Outlook while editing tasks, tab moves you through
the fields (and thus you can edit the description) while ctrl+tab moves between
panes (in WSWB tab and ctrl+tab both do the same thing). Others have and
explicit key sequence to open edit. Either solution would be acceptable

Still a problem in 2.0.
This is a general problem with tables which needs to be addressed for
accessibility requirements.
