Description Tod Creasey CLA 2004-10-20 12:45:48 EDT
We need an override for part orientation for individual parts.

The main question I have is if we should change the orientation of the tab or
change the orientation of just the contents.

Alex and Semion what are your opinions? The issue we have with this is
potentially mixing two orientations of tabs in the same tab list which may
look really bad.

Example of parts with different orientations

I think, currently it only make sence to set orientation of the contents.

Tod, I woild like remind once more of our suggestion: default orientation of
editors should be LTR; default orientation of viewers should be inherited from
their arents.

This has been released for build 20041109

Verified the editor override in 20041213

Can someone explain why editors should have LTOR defaults? It doesn't make
sense to have some widgets like Trees and Tables oriented RTOL, but other LTOR.

Randy this is not the case. Please check the class in question before reopening
a report.

The default is orientation for all workbench parts.

Sorry Tod, I was looking for activity on bug 84323 and decided to track down
the cause of the problem. Looking at CVS now, I see that that bug should be
resolved as a dupe of bug 82951. I'll make the change.
