Description Gary Gregory CLA 2004-10-18 12:07:24 EDT
Version 3.1.M2. I connect to our CVS server via VPN.
Link with Editor does not detect newly created net connection.

o In the Resource Perspective, I have one .java file open and I am not connected
to VPN.
o In the CVS Resource History View, I click on the 'Link with Editor' button, it
is now in the down/checked state and E tries to contact CVS. It fails since I am
not connected through VPN.
o I start the VPN connection procedure outside of Eclipse.
o I now 'uncheck' the 'Link with Editor' button.
o I see that the VPN connection procedure has completed sucessfully.
o I click on the 'Link with Editor' button and nothing happens.

The workaround is:
o Click the 'Link with Editor' button in the *Navigator* View.
o On the selected file, right-click 'Team/Show in resource history', then the
history is fetched from CVS.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
