I would suggest to create as example a cheat sheet in order to provide a 
guided tour of how write a simple graphical editor

GEF being a framework (and a non-trivial one at that), I don't think it's possible to create a meaningful cheat sheet.  There are no wizards to be launched that would make the creation of a GEF-based project easier.  With better documentation available now (and more in the pipeline), I don't think a cheat sheet is all that desirable either.  Marking as WONTFIX.
