progress dialog
The wide vertical gap seems to have been fixed in I20041101. So there is only the second (minor) item left: message is top aligned with the icon No, the wide gap isn't fixed. But I think I understand now what the problem is: I get the progress dialog with the wide vertical gap when synchronizing a large number of projects in my workspace, that is I select about 30 projects in the package explorer and then select the "Team" > "Synchronize with repository" action from the context menu. If the number of projects is small, I don't see a wide gap. The gap seems to start growing if the selection contains about 10 projects. If I resize the progress dialog, the gap disappears. So it seems that the size of the selection (either the number of items or the total length of the concatenated items strings) somehow has an influence on the layout calculation. There are currently no plans to work on this although we would be happy to review a patch I tried syncing the whole Platform UI projects, couldn't see this big dialog. Also haven't seen this dialog in the past two years in any other place. Probably fixed during some other bug fix. Marking as invalid for now. |
