Description David Hodges CLA 2004-09-24 23:53:20 EDT
Usability enhacements to new wizards to enable "new project creation" when
creating the asset so users aren't mandated to create a project prior as the
tool entry point.
Review new wizards to support asset creation by prompting for basic, critical
information beyond just the name
Comment 1 Harm Sluiman CLA 2004-11-09 21:44:48 EST
Targeted to 4.0 by the requirements team.
Please create a description document in CVS.
Comment 2 Wayne Ho CLA 2004-12-06 12:26:16 EST
Comments from bug 71042:
The first time a user chooses to start a recording, they are able to create a
new project. However, the second or subsequent time they choose to start a
recording, the user is only able to select an existing project (and is unable to
create a new project). Although this is a common issue within Eclipse itself,
the UX team is recommending that users be allowed to create projects when
creating resources (i.e., implicit folder/project creation)

If folder creation is not supported within the HTTP Proxy Recorder wizard, the
user may need to manually create a new folder (e.g., to organize tests). This
becomes a more daunting task for the novice user, as they must now decide what
type of Project to create.

Downstream products no longer require and have withdrawn request. We should
review further to determine if needed in future release.

Comment 9 Paul Slauenwhite CLA 2007-11-05 11:59:51 EST
Correcting priority since not a 4.5 candidate enhancement (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/development/bugzilla.html).
Comment 10 Paul Slauenwhite CLA 2009-06-30 06:26:41 EDT
As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As such, TPTP is not delivering enhancements. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement is resolved as WONTFIX. For this enhancement to be considered, please re-open with an attached patch including the Description Document (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/development/description_documents.html), code (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/resources/TPTPDevGuide.htm), and test cases (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/TPTP_Testing_Strategy.html).
