Description Jared Burns CLA 2004-09-20 18:40:53 EDT
This is a spin-off of bug 74343.

1. Turn on automatic view management for the Debug and Java perspectives.
2. Go to the Debug persp.
3. Switch to the Java persp.
4. Debug to a breakpoint. Switch to the Debug persp. when prompted.
5. The "appropriate" views are opened in the Java perspective, just before the perspective switch
occurs.
Comment 1 Jared Burns CLA 2004-09-20 18:42:00 EDT
The problem is that the Debug view hears about the suspend before the perspective manager, sets
its selection, and the views get opened.
Comment 2 Jared Burns CLA 2004-09-20 18:43:14 EDT
Fixed in LaunchView. We only update the contextual views if the Debug view is "active". Note that I
checked this change in under the comment "Bug 74343 - Some contextual views not opening after a
perspective switch." by accident.

Please verify, DW.
Comment 3 Darin Wright CLA 2004-09-23 12:58:15 EDT
On XP, the register view never appears in the debug perspective when I switch
to the debug perspective. If I dont change perspectives it appears properly.
Comment 4 Jared Burns CLA 2004-09-23 13:09:41 EDT
The problem you're reporting is bug 74343, which has been moved to the UI team.
This "spin-off" bug is for the fact that the views were being opened in the
wrong perspective. The fact that they're not opened in the correct perspective
is the "parent" bug. :)
Comment 5 Darin Wright CLA 2004-09-23 13:36:09 EDT
OK - I will wait to verify until the required bug is also fixed.
Comment 6 Darin Wright CLA 2004-09-23 13:36:58 EDT
Actually, this one is fixed - the view no longer opens in the wrong
perspective.
