- select a project
- compare with another version
- the sync view switches its page to the new compare, and shows that there are
no diffs, but the work is still proceeding and can find diffs

This is confusing if "Always run in background" is on, and the user isn't paying
attention to the progress indicator.

The sync page should indicate that the compare is still in progress, perhaps
even showing a progress %.

In the new History view, it shows the old contents rather than claiming there are no diffs.  This is also confusing, particularly since the content description is updated to show the new file name, but the last file's revisions are still showing.
