After turning off "Show Test" it's not possible to make the perspective bar 
smaller than before. Instead the bar's minimal size stays the same, just as if 
the text label is still being displayed.

It actually doesn't have anything to do with the text size, it's that the
perspective bar is being set with a minimum size when positioned on the top right.

I cannot reproduce this problem in Eclipse Mars running on Window 10 with following preferences:

Appearance: Theme=Classic, Color and Font theme = Default

This gives me round edges on each tab (editor and view) but no round edges in the perspective toolbar anymore. 
You can move the perspective toolbar whereever you want and it uses just the space it needs.
