Eclipse stores its settings/plugins/features in its own subdirectories. This
causes problems when multiple users want to run Eclipse with separate settings
since they cannot be overwritten after the first user creates them.

In my opinion the default location for such files should be the user's home
directory (~/.eclipse for POSIX or My Documents for Windows).

An advanced user can figure out on their own how to share such files by putting
them back in their old locations in the Eclipse subdirectories.
