x. user defined template - the template defines what comes before the 
selection, what goes after the selection

can be implemented in a code-assist fashion - you select sth, you hith a magic 
key and a code assist shell pops up with different options - depending on a 
selection
 (key should be different from the normal code assist, though. i think)
