Description David W Hare CLA 2004-06-08 10:03:39 EDT
After applying PII drop2 there are still plenty of untranslated strings. Since
drop 2a is returned to us on the same day we must send the final drop for
translation, its important to fix any nonexternalized strings before Friday when
we send out drop 3.

I'm attaching a screenshot showing untranslated strings in a Traditional Chinese
locale.
Please check to make sure these strings are externalized.

To get to this screen, Select Windows -> Preferences
Comment 3 David W Hare CLA 2004-06-08 10:43:59 EDT
Please check all the pages under this expanded category, as there are a lot of
untranslated strings.
Comment 4 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-06-08 11:32:18 EDT
David will we have access to these Strings to verify? You are hitting a lot of
components at the same time here so we need to be able to direct correctly

Comment 6 Debbie Wilson CLA 2004-06-08 13:42:27 EDT
The one being shown in this screenshot is already externalized as
WorkbenchPreference.RunInBackgroundButton in org.eclipse.ui.workbench/Eclipse
UI/org.eclipse.ui.internal/messages.properties. This message appears to have
been there since 2004-05-17. Checking other preferences. But it appears the
message files you are working with are out of date.
Comment 7 David W Hare CLA 2004-06-08 13:47:12 EDT
This is using the latest IES RC1 build from 20040603
Comment 8 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-06-08 13:58:31 EDT
With which catalogs? If your catalogs are incomplete the build doesn't matter.

Are you using the 2.1 catalogs? Note that we have never seen a 3.0 catalog.
Comment 9 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-06-08 14:03:21 EDT
These are

WorkbenchPreference.RunInBackgroundButton=Always r&un in background
WorkbenchPreference.RefreshButtonText=&Refresh workspace automatically

Your catalogs are out of date
Comment 10 David W Hare CLA 2004-06-08 14:15:43 EDT
I guess by catalogs you mean the NL fragments?

If so, we are using the absolute latest. We have received some translations
already from CFM, and built NL fragments off of them. So we are using 2.1 +
what we have already sent for 3.0.

So some stuff has not been sent yes, and hopefully what we see in English is
what has not been sent. But we want to confirm by this Friday, as that is when
we send our last package for translation.
Comment 11 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-06-08 14:19:40 EDT
There are clearly a lot of entries missing from your catalogs. Please let us
know on Friday where we can get the new catalogs for testing (private mail if
they are IBM confidential still).
Comment 12 David W Hare CLA 2004-06-08 14:24:12 EDT
If you want, I can send you the 2.1 catalogs and what we are currently using.
You will see a big difference.
Comment 13 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-06-08 14:38:12 EDT
As expected. We need up to date 3.0 catalogs for this to be of any use.
