Description Erik Mattheis CLA 2004-06-01 23:14:22 EDT
The Eclipse platform should adopt Apple's guidelines for the exit and preferences menu options when
running on Mac OS X. I noticed that Eclipse already supports the use of the Preferences and Quit menu
items in the application menu, but the File > Exit and Window > Preferences options remain. This is
redundant. Eclipse should simply check if it's running on Mac OS X, and not display these two menus.
This simple feature would go a long way to putting a little extra spit-and-polish on the platform
running under OS X.

We try to avoid any platform specific code in plugins that are supposed to be platform independent.
Comment 2 Tod Creasey CLA 2006-04-14 15:39:54 EDT
There are currently no plans to work on this
Comment 3 Markus Keller CLA 2007-05-02 11:43:08 EDT
In HEAD, the actions have been removed from their original locations, but an unnecessary separator remained at the end of the Window menu.
Comment 4 Tod Creasey CLA 2007-06-14 11:17:59 EDT
There are currently no plans for further work on this although we would be happy to review a patch
