Description Markus Keller CLA 2004-06-01 03:38:23 EDT
Toolbar buttons are at wrong position after switching between search result pages.
Steps in 3.0RC1:
- do a File Search
- do a Java Search
-> only the first 6 view toolbar buttons are visible
- resize the Search view
-> all java search toobar buttons appear
- switch back to the File Search result
-> view toolbar buttons are shifted too much to the left and leave a gap at right

I'm not doing anything special for layouting the toolbar. This may be a platform
layout bug and needs to be looked at soon.

We're not adding or removing any actions to the action bars of the page site
when a new search is shown. I believe the case of switching pages should be
handled by the pagebook view.

I do not see this problem on I200406092000, Windows XP.

Is this still a problem? Could you please attach a screenshot showing the
problem?

Here's a screenshot in I20040611-0010. I guess it only happens when there are
so many views in the tab group, that the toolbar is moved to the position below
the view tabs.

This sounds more like Stefan's positioning code. It is an aspect of ViewMgmt,
so I'll CC Nick.

Moving to RC3.
Comment 7 Stefan Xenos CLA 2004-08-24 13:37:01 EDT
I can reproduce this in 3.0, but not with the code in HEAD.

This was most likely one of several bugs I fixed in ProxyControl during the
recent refactoring of the default presentation.
Comment 8 Stefan Xenos CLA 2004-08-24 13:37:34 EDT
Fixed in HEAD.
