Description Felix Pahl CLA 2004-05-14 10:58:54 EDT
It would be helpful if the class and variable names
displayed in the various debug views (Debug, Display
and Expressions) would link to the corresponding
source files and variable declarations, respectively,
either directly or with the CTRL key as in the editor.
Comment 1 Darin Wright CLA 2004-05-14 11:10:37 EDT
Use the context menu to open associated declartions. This works in the debug
view, variables view, and expressions view. We do not support linking in the
Display view (yet). Deferred
Comment 2 Felix Pahl CLA 2004-05-14 11:46:01 EDT
Interesting. I get context menu items "Open Declared Type" etc.
on members of objects I inspect, but not on the objects themselves,
i.e. on the roots of trees in the Expressions view. Is that a bug
or am I missing something?

(same for "New Detail Formatter", "Instance Breakpoints", "Toggle Watchpoint")
Comment 3 Darin Wright CLA 2004-05-14 11:48:04 EDT
Doesn't work on root items in the expression tree - because the root item is a
generic debug platform IExpression (not an java element). This is a known
problem.

Deferred again.
