1) Window -> Preferences
2) Expand Workbench select "Colors and Fonts"
3) Expand "Workbench Appearance"
4) Select "View Message Font"
5) Now choose a large font.
6) Select OK.

Notice that the view messages are not redrawn. Now, resize the window. Notice that the new font/size
is displayed.

Possible. The view label is now managed by the ColorSchemeService (again). I'm
not confident that this solution is correct... Stefan, could you please take a
look at it? It doesnt feel right that I have to jump through hoops like a
circus poodle to get that font resize to work... if this solution is OK, please
mark as fixed.

Is this still a problem in 3.3?

As far as I can tell, it's worse. If the Search view or Problems view are supposed to be using the font, then it appears that we don't update at all any more. (Tested on the Mac with Andale Mono - Regular - 24pt.)

The VIEW_MESSAGE_TEXT_FONT is no longer working since 3.1. See bug 325235 for details.
