3.0M8 screenshot of view dropdown menu
The view dropdown menu sometimes wants to be on its own line unnecessarily.
These are two different widgets. There are two possible solutions: 1. Combining them into one toolbar is problematic since they are provided by different plugins with different lifecycles. 2. Allowing the view dropdown to be appended to the last line of a wrapping toolbar is problematic since the layout code can only deal with rectangular controls (even though the Toolbar doesn't use the space in its lower-right, the layout still sees it as a rectangle). Solution 1 is the more likely solution, but it requires allowing the Presentation to manage its own toolbars. This is also desirable for other reasons (it would simplify some code and give more flexibility to presentation plugins)... but it will involve breaking API changes that would affect any downstream view that makes widget lifecycle assumptions. This will not be fixed for 3.0 As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported. Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you. |
