Description Ed Burnette CLA 2004-04-13 12:24:10 EDT
Only one view or editor in the entire Workbench window is drawn with active
highlights. The rest are drawn as inactive, even the ones on top of other
stacks. This is not the way most applications I've used work, for example VC++
on Windows keeps its view tabs looking active even if focus is elsewhere (it
highlights the title bar of the view to indicate which one has focus).

See bug 52780 comment #99 for an example of how VC++ does it. Doing it a
similar way would be a usability improvement and also increase the native-look
of Eclipse.
Comment 2 Michael Van Meekeren CLA 2004-12-02 11:02:01 EST
in R3.0 there is a stronger distinction between the selected part in a stack
when that stack does not have focus AND editors will always show selected state
(white) as in R2.0
