In order to update the source code infrastructure, the test plugins should be updated to JUnit 5. Although already some newer tests are already written in JUnit 5 and a mixed mode is possible, we face issues with building and running the tests locally.

A harmonization of the test infrastructure should help in making the project maintainable.
