I assume that cold be related to the CR/LF difference (test uses \n only), but I haven't verified that.

Roland: would you please take a look, I'm not sure if that is some recent regression or was it just always like this? The test itself is from bug 505610.

Adding Jeff to CC in case he has some time to get to this before me.

I haven't looked yet to see if this has always been failing. If its recent I would have thought some kind of formatting default is being applied somehwere and never unset ?
