We are currently testing with GDB 8.2, we need to test with more recent GDBs, like 9.x and 10.x

This requires cdt-infra work as well to add newer GDBs to the docker images.

The test suite runs gdb 10 remote and local by default on cdt-master[1], there are other jobs for all gdb versions[2].

AFAICT all DSF-GDB tests that were disabled for Jiro migration have now been enabled again.

There are a few other test issues which will be dealt with separately (such as Bug 572742 and Bug 572589).
