If you make the Outline view a FastView, it insists on taking up the entire 
width of the screen!

I wouldn't mind it if it insisted on taking up the entire height instead, 
since it can get that long in extreme cases, but there's no utility whatsoever 
in having it pegged at full width.

Resizing doesn't help -- it disallows resizing the width!
