In bug 527378, the launch handling for targets containing both simpleconfigurator and the obsolete update.configurator was removed.

The -Dorg.eclipse.update.reconcile=false VM argument still needs to be set for compatibility with old target platforms. Otherwise both simpleconfigurator and update.configurator will try to install bundles.
