The preference page has the following problems:
1) Extremely difficult to find an action you want to remap. does not scale
even for the few commands in Eclipse itself.
2) Layout of page is terrible. Why is the "When" combo all by itself? It is
related *ONLY* to the new sequence being entered, yet it is outside of the
group in which the sequence is entered.
3) There are two tables both called "assignments". What's the difference? Is
this a cheap way to align the two Grid layouts?
4) What does "Name" mean for a key sequence? It should be "Accelerator"
or "Sequence" or something, not name.
5) There is entirely too much emphasis/control of scope. It is very rare that
the user understands what scope means, and actually needs to change it. The
default creation of a sequence should be in the same scope as the original, and
there should be explicit and "advanced" UI which allows you to override that
keybinding for a specific subcontext.
6) Selecting on a tableitem in the bottom table sometimes flickers and gets
deselected. For example, Press CTRL+R in the "Name" field, and then select on
the "debugging" assignment which appears. The treeitem is selected and then
immediately deselected.
