The Steering Committee for the AsciiDoc Working Group voted to rename the asciidoc-lang mailing list for the AsciiDoc Language Project to asciidoc-lang-dev to give room for future growth and to make the function of the list more clear. The Eclipse Foundation has approved this request for change.

Since the asciidoc-lang mailing list has not yet been used, feel free to delete the list and create a new one. However, please retain (or resubscribe) the same initial members.

I've queued  'asciidoc-lang-dev' for creation, and 'asciidoc-lang' for deletion.  These changes will go live at midnight.

Our policy is that users must subscribe to the mailing lists they want to receive messages from, so we don't transfer subscribers in these situations.  You are free to post a message to the list, letting subscribers know about this change, and encouraging them to sign up for the new list.

Thank you very much. With respect to the subscribers, I understand the reasoning for having that policy and I accept it. I will reach out the individuals personally and ask them to subscribe to the new list.
