The eclipse infra structure was having a hard time these days, so first please retry at a later point in time.

If it still occurs please provide mode details
- Which repositories are enabled in
    Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites
- How did you invoke update?
  - Simply "Check For Updates"?
  - What updates were offered in the dialog?
- Did you have any additional plugins installed on top of IDE for Java Developers?

FWIW, mpc version 1.8.1 *is* available and installable from this repo:

   http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2019-12

Please make sure that repository is listed under available software sites and enabled.

Wait: the exact versions should be
- mpc.core: 1.8.1.v20191106-1317 error shows ... 1107-0507
- mpc.ui 1.8.1.v20191106-1317 error shows ... 1119-1757
- mpc.feature 1.8.1.v20191106-1317 error shows ... 1119-1757

I wonder if mpc actually released these versions and why client installations try to fetch it?

Please check if you have these versions installed (which would indicate, that uninstalling old stuff failed).

The needed version is available here: http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/releases/latest/. We have to find out why the version differs from the one published with the release.

In the browser this URL shows:

> Please point Eclipse to the new TestNG Eclipse update site: https://dl.bintray.com/testng-team/testng-eclipse-release/

Please update (or remove) the URL under Available Software Sites.
