Description Jonas Tewolde CLA 2020-01-09 08:04:42 EST
The Project eLogbook@openK [1] is the first user module developed for openKONSEQUENZ. In the meantime the project "Eclipse openK User Modules" [2] has been started to contain all user modules. So we need to integrate "eLogbook@openK" into "Eclipse openK User Modules". What is neccessary to get this done?

I've cc'd Wayne as he can better explain what will need to happen to make this a reality.

Do I correctly interpret that you'd like to merge the Eclipse eLogbook@openK project into Eclipse openK User Modules? i.e., is it your intention that eLogbook@openK will cease to exist?
Comment 3 Jonas Tewolde CLA 2020-01-13 05:00:23 EST
Hi Wayne,

yes, that's the correct interpretation. eLogbook@openK will cease to exist.

eLogbook was the first user module created by openK. Now it is just one of many user modules which will be contained by the the project user modules.

Kind regards
Jonas

Okay. First step is to engage in a restructuring review. I've created a review record with my interpretation of the change. That review is scheduled to conclude on February 5/2020. Following successful completion, we'll ask the webmaster to help reassign resources and shut down the project.

I've copied the project leads from Eclipse eLogbook@openK and the project mentor.

I've noticed that Eclipse eLogbook@openK is licensed EPL-1.0; that will need to updated to EPL-2.0 as part of the transition. This must be completed before the next release.

I'd like some indication of when the Eclipse openK User Modules project intends to engage in a formal release per the Eclipse Development Process. The project is well into it's second year (and eLogbook into it's third year); it feels like it should be ready for a least an incubation release.

Hi Wayne,

we only need the repositories to be moved to the "Eclipse openK User Modules" Project. The people involved in the projects have changed. All actually involved people are already committer or contributer of the user modules project. All other committers from eLogbook are no longer involved and do not need to be moved.

We will propose to the openK to go into an incubation release.

And I noticed the need of an update of the licence. We will do this as soon as possible.

What is the next thing I have to do? Do I wait for the restructuring review to be completed? Is this review public respectively can I see it?

warm regards
Jonas

Yes. We just wait for now.

Ongoing reviews are listed here:

We'll use this bug for any communication regarding the review.

I declare this review successful.

Please connect with the Eclipse Webmaster (copied) to move the project repository and any CQs from Eclipse elogbook@openK to Eclipse Openk User Modules.

Once that's done, we'll terminate the project and archive any remaining resources.

This appears to be done.

I've retired the committers and project leads on eLogbook

AFAICT the project has no (remaining) CQs or Forum.

Webmaster, can you please terminate/archive the remaining resources?

Specifically,

* the elogbook-dev mailing list;
* the build server https://ci.eclipse.org/elogbook/

All remaining resources should be reclaimed by midnight.

I've marked the elogbook project as archived. I believe that we're done here.
