Doing so would be in addition to the standard project name trademark approval process. 

I believe that this is the first time that we've taken a "Jakarta" project through the actual trademark process (we did this part informally with the first batch of projects). So we're in new territory.

Ivar, please do ask the Steering Committee for their approval to use their mark in this project name. With that in hand, we'll get Sharon to give us final approval.

Reopening. There is an ongoing discussion with the Jakarta EE Working Group's Steering Committee regarding their approval of the use of the brand in this manner.

The Jakarta EE Working Group Steering Committee wants to preserve the use of the "Jakarta" as a prefix on specification project names only.

So... we'd like the name to be "Starter for Jakarta EE", or more formally, "Eclipse Starter for Jakarta EE". Does that work?
